Prepare a main featured item which shall be portioned appropriately to be sold for $5.00 or less. Strictly enforced - (recommend 500-1000 servings of at least a 2 OZ portion) so that people can try food from all our wonderful vendors.
Booths must be set up and food trucks must be in place on Cherry Street by 10AM and be ready to serve by 11AM rain or shine. (Fairfax County Health Department inspections & issuance of permit may only occur from 10AM - 11AM.)
Restaurant booths and food trucks should be present the entire time, but must absolutely remain and serve until at least 6PM and must be vacated by 9PM, rain or shine. If your establishment is a no-show or is vacated before 6PM, you may be disqualified from participating in future Tastes of Vienna.
No booth or food truck shall be left unattended at any time.
Provide own equipment, serving dishes, silverware, napkins, and ice required to prep, hold, and serve food. Provide own extension cords for power. Provide own fire extinguisher.
Must provide own staff to prep and serve food.
Potable water will be available on site. A waste water bin will also be provided on site.
Delivery and pick-up of all equipment at own expense. A dumpster will be provided on site for trash.
Booth location assignments will be made based on registration order, taking into account the type of food provided and equipment needed; however, no particular location assignment is guaranteed. Booth assignments will be distributed shortly before the day of the event. Food truck location assignments are first-come, first-serve the day of the event.
Abide by all local, county, and state laws, regulations, and ordinances.
Vehicles may be pulled into the venue for off-loading during initial set-up, but all vehicles must be removed by 10AM unless prior arrangements have been made.
High resolution logo for use in marketing materials and Taste of Vienna's website e- mailed to VVFD (email below) within 7 days of submitting your contract.
You must apply for a Temporary Food Establishment Permit (TFEP) from the Fairfax County Health Department no later than April 16, 2025 (i.e., no less than 10 days before the event). Apply online at PLUS ACA-Accela Citizen Access1 (fairfaxcounty.gov). The name of the Temporary Food Event will be listed as the “Taste of Vienna 2025”. Further information about health department requirements will be provided upon registration.
Per the Town Code of the Town of Vienna, Section 6-33, there is a 3% tax (may increase to 4% Jan1st) levied for any meals purchased from any food establishment, whether prepared in such food establishment or not, and whether consumed on the premises or not. Food establishments include mobile facilities as well as permanent facilities. Further information and forms related to the meal tax will be provided upon registration.
By signing this contract, you are acknowledging your understanding and acceptance of all requirements of participating vendors, and are pledging that your establishment will be present the day of the event AND fully prepared to participate rain or shine.
You specifically acknowledge that no refunds will be made as a result of inclement weather at the 12th Annual Taste of Vienna or for your exclusion from the event for failure to comply with any noticed requirements.
No refunds will be given for any cancellations after March 1, 2025.
Failure to comply with all deadlines and requirements for participation, or to remit payment by the deadline may disqualify you from participating and result in your exclusion from the 12th Annual Taste of Vienna.
Vendor affirms that it has liability coverage that will be in effect through April 26, 2025, and agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Vienna Volunteer Fire Department, Inc., its members, and the Town of Vienna from any and all liability for damage, injury, or loss to any person or goods for any reason. Vendor is solely responsible for its presence and operation.
